Oakland County Michigan is an area of the U.S., located west of the Detroit metropolitan area. It’s part of the metro Detroit area, situated northwest of downtown. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, its total population was 916,919, making it Michigan’s sixth largest county. The county seat is Oakland.
